THE Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) has awarded 1,236 student loans to first-year students at Kwame Nkurumah University and Chalimbana University for the 2026/2027 academic year. HELSB Corporate Affairs Manager Chiselwa Kawanda says of the total loans awarded, 666 are for students at Kwame Nkurumah University, while 570 are for students at Mukuba University.
