THE Law Association of Zambia says it will move the Constitutional Court to pronounce on the procedure for electing a leader of opposition, insisting that it wasn’t in order for the Speaker to effect leadership changes amid an active court case. And LAZ says the increased incidents of arrests effected on leaders of opposition parties are unfortunate and counter-productive for the nation. Meanwhile, the association has called on church mother bodies and civil society to urgently convene a national indaba where stakeholders will discuss sustainable modalities for the country to de-politicise and heal.
