EMMANUEL Jay Banda’s lawyer, Kennedy Mambwe, says he is concerned about his client’s well-being and hopes he is safe so that he can explain his alleged disappearance. Mambwe has, however, questioned how Banda managed to escape from lawful custody while being guarded by five security officers at the hospital. On Monday, Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu disclosed that five security officers who were guarding Banda on Sunday night had been detained following the lawmaker’s escape through a window at Chipata General Hospital.
