THERE was jubilation in the National Assembly yesterday led by the Speaker herself as Bill No. 7 passed the third reading stage with all 135 present UPND, PF and Independent MPs voting in the affirmative. Those from the PF who voted for the Bill include Kanchibiya MP Sunday Chanda, Chitambo MP Remember Mutale, Kantanshi MP Anthony Mumba, Isoka MP Marjorie Nakaponda, Kamfinsa MP Christopher Kang’ombe, Lupososhi MP Musonda Mpankata, Kasama Central MP Sibongile Mwamba, as well as other UPND-aligned PF MPs, while Mporokoso MP Brian Mundubile, Matero MP Miles Sampa, Mpika MP Francis Kapyanga and Mambilima MP Jean Chisenga, among others, decided to shun the voting process.
