ZAMBIA’S female boxing heroine Catherine Phiri has been slapped with a two-year suspension by the Africa Region VI Anti-Doping Organization – RADO after failing a doping test. The boxer has admitted using furosemide, a drug used to treat body swelling, but she claimed that she was ignorant the substance was prohibited and has since apologized to all boxing fans as she did not mean to use the drug to enhance her performance.
