THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted and fined two Builders Village Limited Directors K8,500 each for practicing without registration at the Zambia Institute of Architects (ZIA). In this matter, Dr Brenda Bukowa and Dr Sam Sichilalu were charged with one count of practicing without registration Contrary to Section 35(1)(b)(2) of the Zambia Institute of Architects of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence in the matter were that the duo, between January 2, 2021, and June 31, 2023, in Lusaka, jointly and whilst acting together did establish a practice as an architect, namely Builders Village, the same practice not registered with Zambia Institute of Architects.
