THE Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has suspended KBN TV’s broadcasting licence for 30 days for allegedly breaching the 2026 Election Coverage Guidelines and other broadcasting standards. The Authority says KBN TV failed to ensure balanced, fair and accurate discussions, aired unsubstantiated and unverified claims, failed to provide alternative viewpoints and the right to reply, and allowed inappropriate language on air. Meanwhile, the IBA has also suspended the broadcasting licences of 3FM Radio, Mungu FM Radio and Healing TV for 30 days over unpaid 2026 Annual Operating Fees.
