Lusaka Province PF chairman Paul Moonga has asked party Secretary General Davies Mwila to compel Justice Minister Given Lubinda to show cause why he should not be suspended from the party for insubordination.
In a letter dated October 29, Moonga said Lubinda’s conduct at late president Michael Chilufya Sata’s memorial was immoral and as such, he needed to be disciplined.
“Hon Lubinda displayed a character of a savage, immoral and inhuman in a holy place where the people are supposed to unite and show love to one another. During the memorial service, I sat in the same row with Hon Lubinda, Hon Kampyongo, the national chairperson, my secretary Mr [Kennedy] Kamba and other party members. When time for receiving Holy Communion came, I extended my hand to greet Hon Lubinda as he was passing by where we were seated enroute for him to go and receive his Holy Communion but the most embarrassing thing happened. Honorable Lubinda with intention to demean me sacarstically refused to shake hands with me as his Provincial Chairman. He showed the hate he harbours for the party structures in general and for me as his provincial chairman in particular. Honorable Lubinda’s behavior amounts to insubordination. He refused to shake hands with me because I defended the party during the central committee meeting we had prior to the memorial service,” Moonga wrote.
“Hon Lubinda has shown that he does not want to work with the party structures or anyone who is an ardent supporter of His Excellency the President Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu. This can be supported by his submission during the meeting we had with the Lusaka District members of parliament where he declared that he will not work with the party structures but form his own parallel structures, hence his treacherous behavior of not recognizing me as the Lusaka Provincial Chairman. This shows that he does not even recognize the appointing authority as evidenced by his behaviour in church.”
Moonga asked Mwila to compel Lubinda to exculpate himself.
“With the above submission sir, I recommend for Hon Lubinda, through your good office to show cause why he should not be suspended from the party for insubordination before he disintegrates the party in Lusaka Province in general and in Kabwita in particular. Your positive consideration on this sir, will help to instill discipline in all party members, even those who think they are bigger than the party,” wrote Moonga.

Given Lubimda is a coloured. Coloureds are naturally pompous. Next time he will even slap you. Shaking hands is not a law.
PF is No longer the party that everyone knew, it’s falling apart.
Nice to watch
Well this shows why its important to have worked in a parastatle before joining politics. It will teach you administration. Personal differences, can not be used as grounds for wanting to discipline some one. If Lubinda thinks you don’t matter to him ,why are you so worried about that? Political positions change all the time, what will you do if one day he himself is appointed to a much senior party position than yours?
Useless
These are personal issues between the two individuals! There are more serious issues in the nation that everyone including the party should focus on.
