OUTGOING PF leader Edgar Lungu has appointed Kawambwa PF member of parliament Nickson Chilangwa as party deputy secretary general.

And Lungu has also appointed Raphael Nakacinda as a Member of the Central Committee and chairperson of the information and publicity committee.

In a letter dated September 6, Lungu directed Chilangwa to work extra hard and rebuild the party to ensure it withstands the challenges that lie ahead.

“I am pleased to inform you that, in accordance with the provision of our party Constitution, I hereby appoint you as Deputy Secretary General of our party with immediate effect. As you are aware, our party has just lost the General Election which has left our members shocked and with many unanswered questions. Therefore, as party Deputy Secretary General you are expected to work extra hard, start rebranding and rebuilding our party to ensure it withstands the challenges that lie ahead. I have no doubt that with your vast political experience; you will discharge your duties diligently. May I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment,” Lungu said.

Meanwhile, in a separate letter dated September 6, Lungu said he had no doubt that Nakacinda with his vast political experience would discharge his duties diligently.

“I am pleased to inform you that in accordance with the provision of our party constitution, I hereby appoint you as a Member of the Central Committee and Chairperson of Information and Publicity Committee of our party with immediate effect. I have no doubt that with your vast political experience, you will discharge your duties diligently,” said Lungu.
