GOVERNMENT says it intends to jointly develop a hydro power station on the Luapula River with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, stretching from Mumbotuta Falls to Mambilima. Acting Energy Minister Charles Milupi told the National Assembly, Tuesday, that the $530 million hydro power project is estimated to commence in 2027 and expected to be commissioned in 2030.
