MTN FAZ Super League champions Zanaco FC will host Zimbabwe Premiership Soccer League Champions, CAPS United as well as two 2016 CAF inter-club champions, Mamelodi Sundowns and TP Mazembe in friendly matches between January 29 and February 4.
The seven-time Zambian champions have also lined up pre-season friendlies against FAZ Super division side Red arrows in their intensified preparations ahead of CAF champions league.
The champions will begin their friendlies with a fixture against Red Arrows on January 28, 2017 at Nkoloma Stadium which will host all games.
Zanaco will later host CAPS United on Sunday January 29, 2017 as part of the two sides preparations, for their forthcoming 2017 CAF Champions League campaigns.
The Numba Mumamba tutored side will play 2016 CAF Champions League Mamelodi Sundowns on February 1, 2017 and wind up with CAF Confederation Cup champions TP Mazembe three days later.
Zanaco chairman Edward Mutale said the executive was doing everything to ensure the technical bench prepared the players adequately.
“The technical bench requested for friendlies against top teams and as an executive we have secured the friendlies so that team can be exposed and be in good shape for the competitions that we have ahead,” said Mutale.
Zanaco will kick-off their CAF Champions League campaign with a preliminary round tie against APR of Rwanda.
The FAZ Super League champions will host APR in Lusaka on February 11 and seven days later travel to Kigali for the final leg.
