PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has hailed China’s readiness to commence work related to the Official Creditors’ Committee. According to a statement issued by Presidential spokesperson Anthony Bwalya, Tuesday, President Hichilema said this during a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. President Hichilema said he looked forward to the convening of the first meeting. During the same conversation, President Hichilema commended his counterpart for his leadership through initiatives such as the Forum For China Africa Cooperation and further thanked President Xi for the donation of COVID-19 vaccines from the First Lady of the People’s Republic of China. And President Xi said he was eager to address the debt issue and was committed to working together within the G20 common framework...
