THE Presidential Delivery Unit says the Ministry of Health should work on maintaining the 90 per cent drug availability status in health facilities as opposed to reversing those gains. On Monday, Zambia received the first batch of essential medicines and medical supplies procured from Egypt at a cost of US$24 million under a government-to-government agreement. Health Minister Sylvia Masebo said the bulk medical supplies would increase the availability of essential drugs in health centres to 90 per cent.
