YANGO Country Manager Kabanda Chewe says the ride-hailing company is aware of the increase in fuel pump prices and is working hard every day to find ways for its drivers to thrive. Chewe, however, notes that ride-hailing can only exist as a sustainable business when the price is appealing, arguing that price fluctuations deter customers. On Monday, several Yango drivers in Lusaka protested against poor conditions of service by the international ride-hailing company, lamenting that ride fares had remained the same despite fuel pump prices going up.
