DRAMA has continued in the highly contested Matero constituency, prompting the Electoral Commission of Zambia to suspend the announcement of parliamentary results. This comes after NRPUP candidate Patrick Salubusa raised concern that the parliamentary results had been manipulated to favour UPND’s Alex Sakala. On Friday, just a day after people cast their votes, residents of Matero gathered at Salubusa’s house in Chunga, where they went to celebrate after it was reported that he was leading as vote counting continued at the Totalling Center.
