FORMER Kabushi PF member of parliament Bowman Lusambo says he spent over K2 million on renovating his Ndola home, adding that there was a verbal agreement that ZAMTEL should deduct rentals from the said renovations. This is in a case in which ZAMTEL has sued him over unpaid rentals amounting to K590,000. In his affidavit in opposition to an affidavit in support of originating notice of motion, Lusambo stated that it was orally agreed between him and then ZAMTEL Chief executive officer Dr Mupanga Mwanakatwe that he proceeds to effect renovations on the premises using his own funds, which he did.
