Zesco United head to Nigeria today ahead of Sunday’s first leg, pre-group stage clash against Enugu Rangers in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup.

Coach Zlatko Krmpotic has drafted three new faces into his 18-member travelling team following injuries and suspensions that have hit Zesco in the build-up to the crucial away match.

The trio comprises of strikers Patrick Kangolo and Maybin Kalengo plus midfielder Bwalya Chiti.

Kalengo and ex-Mufulira Blackpool striker Kongolo have been drafted into the team in the absence of injured striker Jackson Mwanza and Idris Mbombo who is suspended for the away leg match.

Chiti, who joined Zesco this season from feeder club Zesco Victoria Falls FC, replaces the injured midfielder Misheck Chaila.

Chaila will miss the match due to a knee injury he sustained in Zambia camp prior to Chipolopolo’s international friendly match away to Zimbabwe on March 26 in Harare.

Zesco depart for Enugu on Wednesday afternoon on Ethiopian Airlines.

The final leg is set for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on April 15 with the winner over both legs qualifying to the Confederation Cup group stage.
