Zambia’s friendly against Ethiopia has been cancelled.

Chipolopolo were due to play Ethiopia away on March 27 in Addis Ababa.

“The Football Association of Zambia have shelved the planned friendly match against Ethiopia that was set for May 27 due to a clogged calendar,” FAZ stated.

The friendly was one two preparatory matches Zambia had confirmed prior to their 2019 AfCON Group K qualifier against Mozambique on June 10 in Ndola.

The other friendly, against Gabon, also away, will go ahead as scheduled on June 3 in Libreville.

Meanwhile, the home-based Zambia team who went into camp for the Ethiopia friendly have been released for club duties today.
