MINISTRY of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation acting Permanent Secretary Isabella Lemba says the officer who had been paid K315,158 without working for the Ministry was entitled to drawing a salary because she is a civil servant. And Ministry Director for Human Resource and Administration Mala Sikazwe says the officer was put on the Ministry’s payroll without management’s knowledge. The latest Auditor General’s report revealed that a review of the payroll indicated that an officer who had been paid amounts totalling K315,158 left the Ministry over a period of 12 months.
