JONAS Chanda and Sam Chiti have rejected the Bwana Mkubwa parliamentary election results, alleging that votes were swapped during the tallying process, vowing to challenge the outcome in court. The Bwana Mkubwa Constituency seat was won by UPND candidate Warren Mwambazi, who polled 9,950 votes, followed by Resolute Party (RP) candidate Sam Chiti with 9,833 votes, while independent candidate Jonas Chanda came third with 8,467 votes. The two opposition candidates have separately claimed that figures recorded on the Gen 20 forms at various polling stations were allegedly changed before the final results were announced.
