THERE has been debate on whether the UPND government must demolish all houses built in forest 27 in order to preserve the water aquifer, since the PF regime that facilitated the development is now out of power. Some people have said they can’t wait to see earthmovers bring down the buildings as soon as possible. This is in line with a commitment made by the Local Government Minister who vowed, while he was in opposition, that he would do just that upon getting into power. Is this really a wise thing to do? Damage has been done to the forest, but before we support such a decision, we need to ask ourselves, what are you going to achieve by demolishing...
