On Friday, the Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) released a statement refuting a story where we reported that a prison break had occurred at their Mwembeshi Maximum facility involving the abductors of Pamela Chisumpa and 12 other ladies. In disputing our investigative story, the Correctional Service, through its spokesperson Superintendent Gillian Namungala, announced that some officers had been suspended from duty for negligence. They also called on members of the public to help recapture escaped inmates for a reward.
