VEDANTA Resources says all workers at Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) will receive a 20 percent salary increment in the first three months once the firm gains back control of the mining company from the Zambian government. The Vedanta spokesperson told the media last week that this is a demonstration that workers are an important asset to the mine.
