FISHERIES and Livestock Minister Peter Kapala has welcomed the arrest of three officers from the ministry by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Kapala says the ministry is fully cooperating and will continue to work closely with all law enforcement agencies throughout the ongoing investigations. Earlier this week, the Commission arrested three officers from the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries for misappropriating part of a US$10 million loan which government obtained from the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 2019.
