OUTGOING Luangeni PF member of parliament Charles Zulu has insisted that having a qualification higher than a grade 12 certificate should qualify someone to stand as member of parliament. And Zulu has revealed that he will be sitting for one subject under the grade 12 General Certificate of Education (GCE) slated for June/July this year. On Friday, the Constitutional Court dismissed a matter in which Zulu was seeking an interpretation of what was equivalent to a grade 12 certificate and whether an individual with tertiary certificates but has no grade 12 certificate can participate in the 2021 general elections.
