THE Zambia Association of Citizen Contractors (ZACCO) says the loss of K217 million by the National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) in legal costs as indicated in the latest Auditor General’s report should serve as a lesson to government to pay contractors on time. The latest Auditor General’s report for the financial year ended December 31, 2022, revealed that the NRFA was ordered by the court to pay over K217 million in legal costs after three construction companies sued the agency due to unpaid road works.
