THE Zambia Table Tennis Association (ZTTA) says it is proud of its young athletes who were impressive at the Phoenix Assurance Independence Grand Finale 2024, held on Monday September 30, at Botho University in Botswana. The tournament showcased exceptional talents, with Zambian players dominating several categories and bringing home five medals which included three gold and two bronze. Promising youngster Charles Banda claimed a well-deserved gold medal after he dominated and emerged champion in the men’s singles while Paul Lungu had a remarkable tournament and clinched Zambia’s second gold in the under-15 boys category. Lungu proved his brilliance by also scooping a bronze medal in the men’s singles category to become one of Zambia’s brightest upcoming talents in table tennis....
