A NEWLY installed water reticulation system at Kasangani Primary School in Chama District, funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), has significantly reduced absenteeism among girls while enhancing menstrual hygiene management. The project, funded under the 2024 CDF at a contract sum of K297,095.00, has effectively separated the water needs of the school from those of the surrounding community, resolving a long-standing crisis that forced girls to miss classes. In an interview with News Diggers, Kasangani senior teacher Karen Nalungwe said the school had for years shared a single borehole with the surrounding community, leading to frequent mechanical breakdowns.
