MINISTER of Finance and National Planning Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane has disclosed that government has in the last three years given away more than K9 billion in tax breaks to Zambian industries. Dr Musokotwane says that nominally, Zambia would have lost about K200 million from the suspension of the 15 per cent export duty on emeralds but it won’t lose anything.
