DPP enters nolle in case where PF cadres were charged with aggravated robbery

The Director of Public Prosecutions has entered a nolle prosequi in a matter in which four PF cadres who intercepted Mukula logs were charged with aggravated robbery.

In this matter, Venny Musonda, Augustine Mukuka, Robson Chipili and Fanny Zimba are charged with theft of property belonging to ZAFFICCO.

Allegations are that on December 29, 2017 the accussed jointly and whilst acting together did steal K17,000, USD1,300 and a phone altogether valued at K36,000.

But when the matter came up for commencement of trial today, the State informed the court that the DPP had decided to enter a nolle prosequi in the case.
