THE Lusaka High Court has allowed 19-year-old Bushimbwa Mwalacheya of Salama Park, who is accused of killing his parents to undergo a medical check-up to determine his mental ability to stand trial. This follows an application from Mwalacheya’s lawyer Bornface Chiwala. Mwalacheya is facing two counts of murder contrary to section 200 of the penal code Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia. It is alleged in count one that Mwalacheya on August 6, 2022, jointly and whilst acting with other persons unknown, did murder Alphonstah Mwalacheya. In count two, it is alleged that on the same date, the accused murdered Nathaniel Mwalacheya.
