LUSAKA High Court judge Charles Kafunda has sentenced two men who abducted 13 women of Lusaka’s Chalala area to life imprisonment in relation to two victims, among them a pregnant woman. And judge Kafunda has sentenced the two convicts to 50 imprisonment with hard labour, to run consecutively, in relation to the 11 other victims. But lawyer representing the convicts says his clients intend to challenge the harsh sentence given they didn’t waste the court’s time. This is a matter in which James Bwalya, 22, was jointly charged with Mathews Sikaonga, also 22, with 54 counts of aggravated robbery, abduction, assault, and rape, among other charges.
