NAKONDE Constituency UPND vice chairperson for administration Charles Bowa Sinyangwe has sued the state in the High Court, demanding compensation for false imprisonment in the sum of K3.5 million for unlawful and unreasonable detention. Sinyangwe also wants compensation of legal fees in the sum of K500,000. He further wants damages for mental anguish, turmoil and distress he suffered as a result of the unlawful detention. In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court Principal Registry, Sinyangwe stated that he was informed of a gassing incident by Ginery Sichalwe and a Tanzanian Pastor, Kameme, as they checked on his business along Malawi Road.
