THE Court of Appeal has halted the execution of a writ of Fieri Facias (FiFa) issued by Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) against Konkola Copper Mines (KCM). CEC had issued the FiFa on March 17, 2025, seeking to recover K338,910,012.82 from KCM. But in its latest decision, the Court of Appeal has directed that all goods that were seized from KCM by the Sheriff of Zambia yesterday should be returned immediately. The order was made pending the determination of an appeal before it.
