A LUSAKA woman has narrated how her eight-year-old son was detained overnight by police officers at Matero Police Post for allegedly fighting a 12 year old girl on Tuesday. The boy’s mother says her son was denied food while in detention. Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, who has confirmed the incident, says the officers on duty have been asked to submit reports explaining why they detained the boy overnight. Meanwhile, child rights activist Henry Kabwe has demanded justice for the boy.
