THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) says owners of the motor vehicles which will be de-registered this September can apply for reregistration whenever they are ready. Last Friday, RTSA announced that it would commence the process of de-registering motor vehicles which have been inactive for more than five years effective September 1, 2023, with the first phase involving 223, 148 vehicles. Asked in an interview whether owners would be allowed to re-register such vehicles, RTSA Acting Head of Public Relations Mukela Mangolwa responded in the affirmative and advised affected persons to pay statutory obligations to avoid their vehicles being de-registered. “Yes, it means you have to go through the process of having it registered again.
