THE Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) has opposed Cabinet’s decision to ban out of town workshops for civil servants, saying it might affect businesses in the hospitality industry. ZCTU is proposing that instead of banning all out-of-town workshops, Cabinet can classify the kind of workshops that can still be held out of town. On the other hand, ZCTU says Cabinet’s decision to restrict the use of government vehicles might affect service delivery. Meanwhile, the Congress has advised government to take the lead when they encourage citizens to tighten their belts amid economic hardships.
