MINISTRY of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Nicholas Phiri has handed over 56 motorbikes, one to each of the chiefs in Eastern Province. The motorbikes were presented to the chiefs at the close of the Provincial Council of Chiefs, an event hosted by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development that saw 42 out of 56 chiefs from Eastern Province in attendance. Phiri also says Eastern Province has the highest Constituency Development Fund (CDF) utilisation rate in the country at 84 percent.
