The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in Kasama has arrested the provincial the Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator, and the Central Statistics Office Regional Statistician of for corrupt practices involving K18,000.

Joseph Chiti, 42 of Kasama Village, a provincial Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator, in Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, and Danny Muchimba, 36 of Mukulumpe Township, a Regional Statistician of Central Statistics Office were jointly charged with one count of Theft by Servant.

ACC corporate affairs officer Christopher Chibanku has stated that particulars of the offence are that the suspects on dates unknown but between 1st September 2017 and 31st January 2018 at Kasama in the Kasama District of the Northern Province being public officers jointly and while acting together did steal K18,000 the property of the Republic of Zambia which came into their possession by virtue of their employment.

Chibanku stated that they have since been released on Bond and will appear in court soon.
