LUSAKA businessman Sedrick Kasanda and another have sued the state in the Lusaka High Court, seeking the immediate removal of seizure notices on their bank accounts. Quashaun International Limited and Kasanda are also seeking damages for loss of business and income, interest for the indefinite withholding of their funds for one year, and legal costs. In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court Principal Registry by Messrs Melody Mwansa Legal Practitioners, the duo stated that the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) placed seizure notices on their accounts on August 21, 2023.
