THE Constitutional Court has granted leave to Nkulukusa Kalusa to amend his petition in the matter where he is seeking the court’s determination on whether former president Edgar Lungu and vice president Inonge Wina were lawfully in office, as they had not been sworn in by the Chief Justice. This follows after Nkulukusa, on November 25, 2024, through his lawyer Anthony Kasolo applied for leave to amend his originating summons when the matter came up for hearing. Nkulukusa had told the court that the amendment was to cure the effects in the originating summons which were filed into court.
