THE Global System for Mobile Communication Association of Zambia (GSMAZ) has lamented that the current prolonged load-shedding has negatively affected the telecommunications sector. Several customers have lately been complaining about network outages. In a statement, Wednesday, GSMAZ stated that the extended load-shedding hours were affecting quality service provision since majority of the over 3,500 towers for MTN, ZAMTEL and Airtel combined were connected to the national grid. “As the Global System for Mobile Communication Association of Zambia (GSMAZ) one of our main objectives is to engage openly with customers and stakeholders in a bid to address any concerns raised as we endeavor to showcase our commitment in adhering to responsible business practices.
