Former Family Health Trust executive director Benny Zulu has appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for allegedly murdering a woman in her 20s.

The victim, Natasha Mukandawire, was allegedly shot dead in a car and her body dumped in Mpandika area in Chibombo District, according to police

In this matter, Benny Esau Zulu, 59, is charged with one count of murder.

Particulars of the offence allege that on July 9, this year, Zulu, in Lusaka, murdered Natasha.

Zulu appeared before Chief Resident Magistrate Lameck Mwale, Thursday, for explanation of the charge.

He would continue appearing before Magistrate Mwale for mention awaiting instructions from the DPP to commit him to the High Court for trial.

The matter comes up on September 13, this year, for mention.

According to the police, the deceased was found with a deep cut on the right side of her forehead and Zulu later on surrendered himself to Lusaka Central Police Station as a suspect.
