THE Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZMMSA) has admitted storing and distributing medicines and medical supplies procured from Honeybee Pharmaceuticals and the International Drug Company that were later recalled. The Agency has also admitted that it has a duty to establish and maintain an internal quality assurance system, but adds that it didn’t have this mandate at the time of the procurement, distribution and recall of the medicines and medical supplies.
