LUSAKA Magistrate Mwandu Sakala has discharged Education Minister Douglas Syakalima in a matter in which Sean Tembo dragged him to court for hate speech. This came after Clerk of Court Vincent Shanzambwa informed Magistrate Sakala that he was in receipt of a letter from the Director of Public Prosecutions Gilbert Phiri, denying Tembo consent to prosecute the matter privately. In March this year, Tembo filed a complaint in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court against Syakalima for hate speech.
