UMODZI Kum’mawa spokesperson Chanoda Ngwira has sued the state in the High Court, demanding an order to discontinue all load shedding and intentional withdrawals of electricity forthwith. Ngwira has cited the Attorney General, Zesco and the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) as respondents. He also wants a declaration that the trio’s decision to cut off supply of electricity is an abrogation of Article 11(1) and 12 of the Constitution and constitutes a serious threat to his right to life and is therefore illegal and unlawful.
