Buildcon are believed to have agreed terms with Zesco United and Ivorian-born defender Ben Adama Banh.
Banh becomes the first high profile departure from the defending FAZ Super Division champions in the off-season.
Sources familiar to the development say Banh has joined Zesco’s rich Ndola neighbours and archrivals on a free transfer.
“His contract with Zesco expires at the end of the month and he moves as a free agent. United did not activate their option to renew the contract,” the source said.
The ex-Niger international defender joined Zesco in 2016 from AS Kaloum of Guinea where he spent one season after signing from Asante Kotoko of Ghana in 2015
He was also Zesco captain briefly in2016 while goalkeeper Jacob Banda was off on medical leave.
Meanwhile, Buildcon are also believed to be in the hunt for Nchanga Rangers defensive midfielder Jimmy Nakena who has just been handed a debut Zambia call-up.
Buildcon made their FAZ Super Division debut in 2017 and expensively assembled an entire first team of foreign imports.
The Ndola club finished 9th this season.
