The European Union Naval Force Mediterranean Operation IRINI has intercepted a second Zambian registered vessel for being suspected of ferrying illegal arms, which is in violation of the Arms Embargo on Libya. News Diggers reported last week that the EU Naval Force had intercepted a ship with the name MV Gauja, carrying suspected illegal arms from Morocco to Libya. However, government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs distanced itself from the development, saying the matter had been reported to relevant maritime authorities.
