A SHORTAGE of diesel is looming in Lusaka with most filling stations, especially in the Eastern region of the Capital City running out of the commodity. And sources at Energy Regulation Board (ERB) have told News Diggers that Agro Fuel and its International Partner Vitol Energy who were contracted to supply diesel to Indeni through the TAZAMA pipeline have withheld stock on grounds that the recently revised commodity price is too low. At the end of April, ERB revised the price of petrol from K31.12, to K35.56, representing an absolute variance of K4.4 while diesel was only moved from K28.78 to K29.60 representing a 0.82 difference.
