LATE uptake or none adherence to antiretroviral treatment (ARVs) can lead to mental health issues, says mental health specialist Geoffrey Chilunda. Chilunda, who is the Livingstone District Mental Health Focal Person, has also called for periodic assessment and screening of mental health disorders in people living with HIV and TB. In his presentation at the Southern Province Media Engagement Workshop in Livingstone, Thursday, Chilunda revealed that many of the mental health cases recorded in the tourist capital were related to HIV and TB infections.
